March Progress ReportFirst off, I'm very sorry for not giving a report in a quite a while. Real life has been crazy, and Atomic Hyrax doesn't pay the bills! Anyway, there's a lot to talk about, so let's get right to it.
DistributionWizard's Attic will be the distributor for Atomic Hyrax Games. They are a sub-distributor, which means that for a small fee, they handle all distribution to other distributors. What does that mean? It means that starting in April, Purgatory will be available world wide. Check out the list of distributors. If you happen to pick up a copy of Purgatory outside the U.S.A., let me know. The first person to provide proof that they bought a copy outside of North America will get some sort of prize.
2000 ConventionsTeam Hyrax will be appearing at Norwescon (Seattle, Washington) in April, and may be appearing at Orycon (Portland, Oregon) towards the end of the year. Not too exciting, huh? Well, there's one other small con we'll be stopping by...
GENCON 2000Yes, kids, we're going to Gencon! We've got a corner booth in the Wizard's Attic section, and will be hyping all our new stuff. Gencon will feature the premiere of Purgatory II: Revelations, along with other goodies. We're also thinking about holding some contests and such, including a "Show Us Something Bizarre" contest. For more details on what's coming out and when, see "When is the New Stuff Coming?" below.
When is the New Stuff Coming? We've been a little lax about keeping you guys updated about what comes out when. I hate announcing stuff and then not coming through (see the February 99 report...), but I'll try to compromise. Below is a list of products, their release dates, and my feelings on how likely they are to ship on time or at all. I'll put this on the front page, and try to keep it updated.
...And Then My Ass ExplodedWell, that's it for now. Oh yeah! The Rules FAQ and Setting FAQ have been updated. If you don't see your question answered, subscribe to the Purgatory list, punk. We'll answer any question you ask there, no matter how bizarre.See you next time, kids. Eat your cereal and drive safe.
